Read a review of Figure Out Me in Centerstage Media.
"Her tuneful melodies make for an engaging acoustic collection. The painfully funny "Aging Rock Star" suggests a gift for wry social observation." - Terrence Flamm, Illinois Entertainer
"Most of the music here is acoustic and that's what works for the honey-throated Anderson. Like Joni Mitchell, or Juliana Hatfield for whom Anderson is at times a dead ringer, her lush layered harmonies are undeniably the prominent instrument throughout the album.........Figure out me is a lean and strong debut and clearly a sign of good things to come from Karen Anderson." - Tim Steil, Showcase Music Magazine (read the full review).
"She's been sending me cassettes (demos) for the last couple of years and the disc has turned out mighty fine," - Richard Milne, WXRT Radio
"She's a talented, poppy songwriter" - James VanOsdol, Q101 Radio
"Inventive folk-rock from a fine Chicago singer/songwriter" Dan Kening, Daily Herald
"I really enjoy listening to local musician Karen Anderson's release Figure Out Me. It blends the power of rock 'n' roll with thoughtful lyrics and a heart for the sentimental." - Centerstage Media
