RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Young moved back into the starting lineup for Nate Watson and provided eight points (4-5 FG) and eight rebounds in the win over Butler on Monday.

Young played just nine scoreless minutes in the win over DePaul on Friday, but returned to the starting lineup for the first time since December and played well. The 6-9 sophomore offers more athleticism and defense than Watson and helped make life tough on Kelan Martin (six points of 3-of-14 from the field).

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Young did not score (0-1 FG) in 14 minutes off the bench in the win over Stony Brook on Sunday.

Young was replaced by Nate Watson in the starting lineup. The 6-9 sophomore had only scored 12 points in four previous games and his minutes did not change drastically as a reserve. Young is more active defensively than Watson, so their playing time could be dictated by match up.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Young was held out of the starting lineup in favor of Nate Watson for Sunday's matchup against Stony Brook.

Young had started each of the first 10 games of the season for the Friars, but the sophomore center was moved to the bench for the afternoon showdown. There doesn't appear to be anything injury-related here, however, as Bill Koch of the Providence Journal reports that Young was one of the first players off the bench. It remains to be seen if this trend will continue for the Friars.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Young could start at center with Emmitt Holt (abdomen) out, the Providence Journal reports. He is competing for minutes with freshmen Nate Watson and Dajour Dickens.

The 6-9 Young appeared in every Friar game as a freshman in 2016-17 and averaged 3.2 points and 3.2 rebounds in 13.2 minutes. He does not have Holt's offensive polish, but might be a better rebounder and defender than the Indiana transfer. Young provided 16 points and six rebounds in his lone start last year against St. Francis (NY).

March 4, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Young came off the Friar bench to provide six points and a season-high 11 rebounds in the win over St. John's on Saturday.

Young has played limited minutes in his freshman season, but he has been productive when given an opportunity. In his last three games, the 6-9 freshman has averaged 4.7 points and 6.0 rebounds in 10.7 minutes.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Young started for Emmett Holt (hamstring) and scored 16 points in the win over St. Francis (NY) on Monday. He added six boards.

The 6-9 freshman did not play more than 13 minutes in the first three games and scored a combined two points. Holt is expected back for Friday's game Memphis, so Young will likely head back to the bench.
